Aussie pace ace rules out sledging

12th October 2017, 12:09 by Nick Harris

Australian paceman Pat Cummins says he will be showing his aggression in the Ashes in other ways rather than sledging.

Cummins has already warned England that they will face a barrage of short deliveries when they travel down under for the Ashes but he will not be sledging at the same time.

The Aussie quick, who is preparing for his first Ashes series and has been left out of the Twenty20 side facing India in order to stay fit, says he’s no good at sledging but will be showing his agression in other ways.

He said: “I’m not quite quick-witted enough to come up with too many sledges but hopefully we can show our aggression in other ways.”
