Ronaldo the target for mega China bid

9th June 2017, 12:58 by Warren Ashurst

A Chinese Super League team will make a world record bid next week for Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo, according to reports in Spain.

The Portuguese star looks to be the latest big-name target for China's Super League, following their recent captures of Carlos Tevez, Oscar, Hulk, Ezequiel Lavezzi and Jackson Martinez.

Although those mentioned are all impressive captures, the signing of a player of Ronaldo's stature would be the biggest statement yet, although it's expected that the 32-year-old will stay at the Bernabeu.

AS claims the £175million deal will be put on the table next week, with a wage offer of £1.8million-per-week, which would see Real make a £95million profit on the former Manchester United man.

But Ronaldo, who collected his third Champions League title earlier this month, has always stated his love for Real and is contracted to the Madrid giants until 2021, having only signed a new deal in November last year.
