Nadal admires Woods return

5th December 2017, 16:46 by Alex Jack

Tennis world number one Rafael Nadal has praised Tiger Woods for his return at the Hero World Challenge and says there is more to come.

Having had a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to numerous back operations, Tiger was back at the Hero World Challenge and managed to finish on a score of eight-under par and tied for ninth.

Woods has come a long way since his failed attempts to return to the circuit previously but Nadal, a long-term fan of the American, has been impressed with the return of the 41-year-old.

Having seen him in action, Nadal said: "I have seen him play hundreds of times but this is my second time (watching him play live). He's so tough to come back like this after an injury and playing this way.

"[The] Important thing is to be healthy enough to practice well and feel that you can do the things you need to be back at your top. If he's healthy, I believe that he has everything to be back where he deserves to be."
