Elliott expecting big run from Death Duty
Trainer Gordon Elliott is confident that Death Duty will prove his worth at the Punchestown Festival next week.
The six-year-old has already won at Grade One level but he failed to deliver in the Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle when he unseated jockey Bryan Cooper.
Connections had originally looked at the Irish Daily Mirror Novice Hurdle but Elliott is confident he can return to winning ways and secure a victory in the
Tattersalls Ireland Champion Novice Hurdle on Friday week.
Speaking about his charge's chances, he told the Irish Independent: "I think we'll aim him at the (Tattersalls Ireland Champion Novice Hurdle), which will be easier.
"Forget Cheltenham and it wasn't the ground. He is working well. One more piece of work will be decisive."
