Scudamore hints at Cheltenham plans
Trainer Michael Scudamore has confirmed that Kingswell Theatre is set to run at Cheltenham on December 15.
The eight-year-old was in top form last time out as he won Glenfarclas Cross Country Handicap Chase on November 17.
He beat Vicomte Du Seuil and Cantlow on that occasion and Scuadmore is planning to enter him in the same race later this month.
Kingswell Theatre has gone up by 6lb in the ratings but Scuadmore is still hopeful that he can battle to victory.
He told reporters: "He has come back in great form from Cheltenham and, all being well, he will head back there later this month. He has gone up to a mark of 142, which makes life a bit tougher, but he seems to like the place and he did it very well there last time, so it is the sensible thing to go back there.
"It was a win that gave Tom (Scudamore) a great buzz. He had a great thrill from it and it helped having such a willing partner. It did surprise me a little bit, but we knew how much he enjoyed it before. Not many in the years gone by have jumped out and made all.
"He is not the biggest horse in the world, but he dug deep and the attitude he showed at the end was terrier-like to stick his head back down."
Tom Hill offers a strong insight into football and rugby league, whilst also having a good knowledge of several other sports including boxing, horse racing and American Football.
