Eagles could swoop for Foxes star

8th November 2017, 10:34 by Alex Jack

Crystal Palace are thought to be keeping tabs on Islam Slimani's situation at Leicester, with the forward believed to be unsettled.

New Foxes manager Claude Puel could be willing to allow Slimani to move on to pastures new in the January window and cash in on a player who has failed to hit the ground running in the East Midlands following his move from Sporting Lisbon.

Reports coming out of the player's native Algeria have claimed the 29-year-old is unhappy with his bit-part role at the Foxes and was even considering a move away from Leicester over the summer.

It is no secret that Palace boss Roy Hodgson is looking to bolster his attacking options at Selhurst Park, with Palace only managing four goals in 11 outings in the Premier League this season.

The Eagles could be tempted to make a move for the unsettled Slimani although reports suggest they would face competition from the likes of Watford and Ligue 1 outfit Rennes.
