Moreno injury worries Klopp
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says the injury Alberto Moreno sustained against Spartak Moscow is troublesome but hopes they get 'lucky'.
The sight of the Spaniard being forced to leave the field on Wednesday night cast a shadow on the the emphatic 7-0 Champions League victory over the Russians, according to Klopp.
The Reds fear Moreno, who appeared tearful as he left the game in the first half, could now miss out on Sunday's Merseyside derby as they await the results of further medical examinations.
Klopp admits it is a worry to see Moreno so distressed but remains hopeful the injury will not keep the left-back out for an extended period of time.
“That was the shadow of the night. It was a strange situation,” Klopp said. “He's a tough guy.
“If he can't continue the game you should consider if it is something serious but in treatment room he was a little bit more positive. Maybe are lucky and it's not too serious, we'll see.
“We need all the boys for the next few weeks but especially for the game on Sunday.”
