Diame linked with Turkish switch
Turkish top-flight outfits Goztepe and Sivasspor are chasing a £2.5million swoop for Newcastle's Mohamed Diame, according to a report.
There has been increasing speculation in the media that the 30-year-old Senegal international could leave St James' Park when the transfer window opens in January.
Diame has started just four Premier League matches this season after being more or less a regular under Rafa Benitez in the Championship last term.
The former Hull City, Wigan and West Ham midfielder has 18 months left on his current deal at St James' Park and, given his record for moving clubs regularly, he looks ripe for a switch soon.
The Sun, in the same report, claim that Newcastle are in 'pole position' to sign Red Bull Salzburg striker Dimitri Oberlin, who scored four goals in the Champions League group stages while on loan at FC Basel.
The Swiss champions will be reluctant to let him go as they face two huge knockout round ties against Manchester City next year, but Red Bull will decide his fate.
