Jenkins confirms Abraham interest
Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins has confirmed the club are interested in a potential loan move for Chelsea's Tammy Abraham.
The striker enjoyed a stellar campaign last season while on loan at Bristol City and is currently being chased by a number of Premier League clubs.
Newcastle and Brighton are both known to have registered an interest in the player and now Swansea have joined the race for his signature.
Paul Clement has links with Chelsea having previously worked in a number of coaching roles at the club and could use his connections to snare the youngster.
Abraham is currently away at the European Championships with the England under-21s and Jenkins says he expects to be informed on the forward's future once he returns from Poland.
"We have made enquiries and the player and the club know we have interest," he said. "We are waiting to see what he wants and that has been delayed because he is with England Under-21s at the moment.
"We expect any decision will be made once that tournament is over and we will see what he wants to do.
"We have made our interest known and we now wait to see the outcome but we understand it is a big decision for the player to make."
