Youngsters given Narsingh backing
Swansea have been backed for success in the Premier League 2 Division 1 by Luciano Narsingh after he helped them beat Derby on Monday.
The Dutch winger, who joined the Swans from PSV Eindhoven in January and celebrates his 27th birthday on this Wednesday, was given a 90-minute run-out with the Under-23s to build up his fitness levels.
Narsingh's fellow senior team-mates Wilfried Bony and Kristoffer Nordfeldt were also in action as the Swans romped to a 5-2 victory - a first three-point haul of the season for the youth side.
Narsingh and Bony both scored while Ollie McBurnie staked a claim for first-team action after his season-long loan move to Barnsley collapsed by scoring a brace.
Narsingh said: "It was a good opportunity to pass on our experience to the younger players here. Myself, Wilfried and Kristoffer along with Jay [Fulton] and Oli have plenty of experience to pass on to these players. and it’s an opportunity we all took up because it helps the player and it helps the club.
"It was good to help the team win their first game of the season. There are good players in the team and I think they can have a good season. It’s a new league for them but I think the team showed on Monday night that they have the quality to do well this season."
