Dragons great Bosc to retire
Long-serving Catalans Dragons ace Thomas Bosc has confirmed he will retire from playing at the end of the current campaign.
The former France international has spent his entire career with the Dragons and is the last remaining link from the team that debuted in Super League 11 years ago.
The 34-year-old utility back has made 221 Super League appearances for the French club and is also their leading points scorer in the competition, amassing 1,173 throughout his career.
Bosc has not featured for Catalans since May because of a back injury and admits the decision to retire has been a difficult one.
Bosc said: "This season has been really tough for me, being sidelined for months is hard to accept when you still love playing."
Bosc will be desperate for Catalans to avoid relegation from the to -flight during his final season as a player.
The Dragons are currently fourth in The Qualifiers, with only the top-three teams being guaranteed their place in Super League for next season.
