Vikings exit for Hodgson
Widnes Vikings assistant coach Brett Hodgson has revealed he will leave the club at the end of the campaign to return to Australia.
The former Warrington Wolves star has made the decision to return to his former club Wests Tigers in the NRL and will work as assistant coach with the Aussie outfit from next season.
Having enjoyed his time with Widnes, Hodgson has been thankful for his time with the Vikings and believes the club has a bright future ahead of them in Super League.
"Widnes gave me a great opportunity to coach and I'll always be grateful for everything I have learned," he said. "I leave knowing Widnes Vikings fans have a lot to look forward to."
Widnes will face Hodgson's former club Warrington at the Halliwell Jones Stadium in the final game of the regular season before going on to battle for their Super League status in the Qualifiers.
