Williams ready to fight for All Blacks spot
Sonny Bill Williams expects a battle to reclaim his New Zealand spot after making a return on Saturday after serving a four-match ban.
The centre played for around an hour for his provincial side Counties-Manukau's 'B' team on Saturday after his suspension, which came as a result of the red card he picked up during the British & Irish Lions series.
New Zealand begin their Rugby Championship defence against Australia next weekend and Williams, 32, is keen to be involved but he accepts he will have to fight for an All Blacks starting spot.
"Hopefully I put my best foot forward now by training hard and putting my hand up for selection," Williams told reporters. "We'll see how we go. It's going to be a tough battle."
