France and Belgium unchanged for Davis Cup final

Both France and Belgium have named unchanged teams for next week's Davis Cup final in Lille.

The French are strong favourites to claim a 10th title after ousting Serbia 3-1 in the semi-finals while Belgium shocked Australia 3-2 in Brussels.

France captain Yannick Noah has kept faith with the specialist doubles team of Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut although both Richard Gasquet and Julien Benneteau will be in attendance at the final in case they opt to swap things around at the last minute.

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Lucas Pouille will take care of the singles and, with both ranked inside the world’s top 20, it is no surprise that the hosts are favourites to win.

Belgium have selected the same quartet that downed the Aussies, with David Goffin, Steve Darcis, Ruben Bemelmans and Arthur de Greef the men charged with the task of winning the coveted title for the first time in the nation's history.

Joris de Loore has also been chosen by captain Johan van Herck to provide injury cover.

Goffin will be the highest-ranked player on show and will be full of confidence after beating world number one Rafael Nadal at the ATP Finals in London on Monday.
