Khan ready to fight in Jeddah again
Bolton welterweight Amir Khan has announced he wants to continue to fight in Saudi Arabia in the near future.
The former two-weight world champion will fight Billy Dib in Jeddah on July 12, in a huge event that is being backed by the country at the King Abdullah Sports City's Arena.
Khan had been expected to fight India's Neeraj Goyat but the latter was forced to withdraw after being hurt in a car crash last month.
After losing his last fight to Terence Crawford in April, Khan is out to prove a point and believes he will return to Jeddah in the future.
He told Arab News: "I have options to fight in America, England and Europe, but I came to Saudi because I know the future is here.
"I have to think about the future and that is the reason I am now in Saudi Arabia.
"I have spent over two weeks here already and I have to say it is one of my favorite countries.
"The Kingdom is so peaceful and Makkah is around the corner, so I went there to do my prayers."
