Bayern keep tabs on Ajax ace

9th April 2019, 11:16 by Michael Holland

Bayern Munich have joined the queue of clubs showing an interest in Ajax star Hakim Ziyech, reports have claimed.

It is no secret that Bayern are looking to revamp their squad in the summer as Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben head for the exit door, while James Rodriguez is set to return to Real Madrid.

Attacking midfielders will be required and Ziyech has emerged as a target following a sensational season so far with the Dutch giants, who he has helped to the Champions League quarter-finals.

The attacking midfielder really caught the eye in the 4-1 win over Real Madrid and reports are rife that Bayern are ready to launch a bid.

However they will face very strong competition as Real, Chelsea and Arsenal are among the clubs also said to be weighing up a swoop in the close.

Ajax will be able to play hard ball as well as the player is under contract until 2021 and they are under no pressure to sell.
