Dinamo talent watched by Dortmund again

15th March 2019, 15:53 by Simon Barlow

Borussia Dortmund could be back on the trail of Dinamo Zagreb's Spanish star Dani Olmo after scouting a Europa League game.

Dortmund were linked to Olmo earlier this season and the 20-year-old was on show at the Estadio da Luz when Benfica took on the Croatian side on Thursday night.

Olmo has been a revelation in Croatia over the last 18 months and he fits the profile of recent signings made by the club.

But the Schwarz Gelben could face a stack of domestic competition for his signature with Bayern Munich also paying plenty of attention to Zagreb's matches.

The Rekordmeister are on the lookout for fresh talent as Niko Kovac looks to drastically reduce the average age of his squad following this week's Champions League exit at the hands of Liverpool.

BVB and Bayern, who also had a scout in attendance at the first leg in Zagreb last week, were joined in the posh seats at the Estadio da Luz by representatives of scouts from RB Leipzig, Borussia Monchengladbach, Eintracht Frankfurt, Barcelona and 11 English Premier League clubs.
