Zorc opens up on Pulisic talks
Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc says it was lengthy negotiations that saw Christian Pulisic agree a switch to Chelsea.
Having been linked with a move to Liverpool for a number of weeks, it was Chelsea who looked to have swooped in to secure the USA international's services for next season.
However, Zorc has revealed talks were ongoing between the clubs for a matter of months and feels the deal, that sees Pulisic stay on loan at BVB for the rest of the current campaign, was in the interest of all.
"We took a collective decision with Christian's family and his agent that we would transfer him in the summer of 2019 if he didn't want to extend his contract with us," he told ESPN.
"That decision was taken, and it then came to pass over the last few months."
