Dack relieved to get up and running for Rovers
Blackburn Rovers midfielder Bradley Dack says he is happy to have broken his Championship goal duck for this season.
Playmaker Dack has been a key source of goals for Blackburn since joining from Gillingham in 2017, scoring 18 times during his debut campaign before netting 15 in the Championship last season.
The 25-year-old failed to find the back of the net in his first five league games this term but managed to get off the mark in the 3-2 defeat at West Brom last weekend, scoring after only 25 seconds.
Now up and running for the campaign, Dack says there is less pressure on his shoulders after admitting he was starting to think about his lack of goals.
“It’s nice to get off the mark in the league because it’s been a bit of a long time coming,” he told iFollow Rovers. “It had been playing on my mind a little bit, so it’s nice to get on the scoresheet and open my account for the season in the league.
“I’m a little frustrated that we have a break in the schedule now because you always want to go on a little run of scoring goals and helping the team. But at the same time it will be nice to have a little break and then aim to carry on the goalscoring form over the next few games when we get back to business.”
