Mowbray working to bring in new faces
Blackburn boss Tony Mowbray has revealed the club are working tirelessly to bring in some more summer signings.
So far, Rovers have only managed to bring in Stewart Downing on a free transfer after his contract at Middlesbrough expired and supporters are becoming anxious ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.
Mowbray says he understands the fans' frustrations on the perceived lack of activity but he insists the club are doing everything they can to add more quality to the squad.
"I know it's very frustrating for the supporters as they think nothing is happening, but conversations are going on, we're asking questions, and we're hopeful of being stronger this season," he told the club's official website.
"As the clock gets closer to the deadline, clubs panic, they need the money to get their targets and the price drops for a potential player that could head out of the door.
"When you haven't got countless millions you do need to manage the money and the budget. We need to spend the money wisely and negotiate hard."
