Bassini to return with Bolton offer
Laurence Bassini plans to speak with the administrators at Bolton Wanderers this week and says he will make another bid.
The controversial businessman attempted to buy Bolton before the club fell into administration last week but he claims too many obstacles were put in his way.
Bassini, who has previously served a three-year ban from being involved in a position of authority with any Football League club, believes he is the right man to save Bolton.
"I didn't want to do it after administration, I wanted to prevent the damage that has caused. However, it wasn't possible and not of my making," he told Sky Sports.
"I will be speaking with the people at the club on Friday and they will have my offer."
The Lancashire outfit will start next season in League One with a 12-point deduction and are in danger of tumbling further down the Football League ladder.
Bolton confirmed the appointment of David Rubin & Partners to oversee the sale of the club in the coming months.
