Connor Ripley leaves Burton early to return to Boro

13th January 2018, 15:01

Middlesbrough goalkeeper Connor Ripley has had his loan spell at Burton terminated by mutual agreement.

Ripley, 24, was scheduled to stay with Burton for the whole season after joining them on loan in August.

"Connor Ripley has returned to Boro after his loan spell with Burton Albion was terminated by mutual consent," Boro said on their official website.

"He has seen limited game time at the Pirelli Stadium, most often acting as deputy to Brewers stopper Stephen Bywater."

Ripley joined Burton shortly after signing a new three-year contract at the Riverside Stadium, but made only five appearances.
