Ralls eager to get going
Cardiff City midfielder Joe Ralls says it is great to be back from injury as he prepares for the new season.
Former England Under-19 international Ralls has returned from a torn hamstring in time for the start of pre-season training as Cardiff look to bounce back to the Premier League.
The 25-year-old made 28 top-flight appearances last season but was unable to stop the Bluebirds dropping back down to the Championship as they finished in 18th position.
Looking ahead to the 2019/20 campaign, Ralls says he is delighted to be back fit and is excited for the opener at Wigan Athletic on August 3.
"It's great to be back from injury," he told Cardiff City TV. "I've worked hard over the summer to ensure that the hamstring is strong enough and I come back in good shape, ready to go this season.
"I've started pre-season at the same time as all the boys, so it's nice to get back to it and the physios Matt [May] and James [Rowland] played a massive part in helping me recover."
James Mason grew up in Northumberland so is entrenched in both the football and golf scenes. A low handicap golfer, he also follows Newcastle United and predicts big things under Rafa Benitez.
