Rams boss pessimistic of bringing back loanees
Phillip Cocu has played down the likelihood of bringing Harry Wilson, Mason Mount or Fikayo Tomori back to Derby this season.
Former Rams boss Frank Lampard drafted in the young trio last season and they all played a key role in helping Derby reach the Championship play-off final.
Tomori was solid at the back and his exploits saw him named Derby's Player of the Year, while Wilson and Mount hit 18 and 11 goals respectively.
All three have since returned to their parent clubs and, as it stands, they look set to compete for first-team football with Chelsea and Liverpool in 2019-20.
Cocu admits he is eager to strengthen his squad this summer but feels it will be tough to get those loaness back at Pride Park.
"If you look at the value of those players to the team last season, it was very big. But it will be very difficult, I think. I won't say impossible, but it will be hard," he said.
"We are still working to strengthen the team and there are a lot of possibilities still.
"I don't want to name any names yet, but we are trying to get some players in."
