Hull defender suffers DVT setback
Nigel Adkins has revealed that Hull defender Angus MacDonald will be out of action until at least March with a DVT.
The defender has been out of action since August with a calf injury which has now been diagnosed as a deep vein thrombosis.
He will continue to undergo treatment for the condition and is not expected to be ready to return until the spring at the earliest.
Adkins said: "I’d highlighted before that Angus has had a calf issue and been in with the medical team.
"There’s been further investigation and Angus has actually got DVT, deep vein thrombosis.
"He’s on medication for that and will be until March. That effectively rules him (until then) and he’ll be reviewed again then. All being well it all settles down."
