Hull duo sign contract extensions

2nd March 2019, 12:26 by Tom McGarry

Hull City midfielder Markus Henriksen and goalkeeper Will Mannion have penned fresh terms with the Championship outfit.

Norway international Henriksen joined Hull from AZ Alkmaar in 2017 and has gone on to make 84 appearances and was even named as captain earlier this season.

The 26-year-old has signed a 12-month contract extension to remain at the KCOM until the summer of 2020. Goalkeeper Mannion has also agreed a deal until the end of next season.

The former AFC Wimbledon player has only made one first-team appearance for Hull - in a League Cup defeat to Doncaster in August 2017 - but appears to be highly rated by Tigers boss Nigel Adkins.

Mannion is currently on loan at National League club Aldershot and also spent time on loan at Plymouth last season.
