No looking ahead for Adkins
Nigel Adkins is urging his Hull side not to take anything for granted when they host Wigan on Wednesday evening.
The Tigers sit six points adrift of the Championship play-off spots and, after avoiding defeat in their last 11, could be forgiven for taking the Latics lightly.
Paul Cook's men sit just two points clear of the relegation places but are unbeaten in their last three and seem to be picking points up at the perfect time.
They are sure to head down the M62 with plenty of confidence and Adkins is keen to ensure his players do not take their lowly opponents lightly.
"It's another tough game for us and, like Reading, Wigan are fighting for every point they can get," said Adkins.
"We have to be mindful of that because they have threats in their side. The other big threat is the expectation that will be on us. People will expect us to win the game because of the run that we've been on at home but we have to avoid all of that thinking.
"We have to concentrate and be disciplined in what we're doing. That is the message that we'll be drilling into the players, without taking away that spirit and enjoyment of working hard for each other as a team."
