Middlesbrough's on-loan defender Connor Roberts returns to Swansea

13th January 2018, 15:01 by

Middlesbrough's on-loan defender Connor Roberts has returned early to parent club Swansea.

Full-back Roberts, 22, joined Boro on a season-long loan deal in August, but heads back to Wales after making four appearances for the Sky Bet Championship club.

"Connor Roberts has returned to Swansea City after his loan spell with Boro was terminated by mutual consent," Middlesbrough said on their official website.

Roberts made just one league appearance for Boro, in the defeat at Leeds in November, and featured in three Carabao Cup ties.
