Williams loving life under Rowett
Millwall midfielder Shaun Williams says he and his team-mates are loving life under Gary Rowett as they try to beat Charlton Athletic this weekend.
Williams is expected to be part of the Millwall starting XI as the Lions welcome their rivals to The Den on Saturday afternoon. Only four points separate the two sides at the moment, with Charlton slipping down the table after failing to win any of their last three matches.
Rowett has won one game and lost another since he moved to the club, and Williams says the players are enjoying themselves in training.
He told the club’s official website: “Training has been bubbly, obviously with a lot of new messages from the new staff.
“It’s been pretty positive despite the defeat last week which is important. I’ve enjoyed the new approach, it’s, of course, different in some ways to what we’ve had before, and it’s something we’re definitely enjoying.
“I’m absolutely buzzing for Saturday, as is everyone else. A sell-out crowd will definitely work in our favour, and I’m really looking forward to it.”
Rowett will be hoping to lead his team away from the relegation zone before Christmas, with the club trying to rebuild after Neil Harris resigned at the start of October.
