Jackett veers away from QPR talk
Portsmouth boss Kenny Jackett says reports linking him with the Queens Park Rangers post are just speculation.
After just one win from 11 matches in all competitions, QPR parted ways with former England boss Steve McClaren on Monday and the search for a replacement is currently underway.
Several names have been linked with the vacant position and it was reported on Wednesday that Charlton chief Lee Bowyer is keen to discuss the possibility of taking over at Loftus Road.
Jackett, who has led Pompey to fourth in League One, is reportedly on the list of potential candidates and it is believed QPR will seek talks with the 57-year-old over the coming days.
However, the English tactician has dismissed the reports, saying: "I'd think it's just speculation. Unfortunately, managers do lose their jobs. There's a lot of speculation there, but I've heard nothing.
"And as I've said, I'd estimate in this case it's speculation."
