Stoke deal would be fantastic - Adam
Charlie Adam says he is very keen to sign a new contract with Stoke City if the club want him to stay.
Adam's Stoke career looked to be coming to an end earlier in the season after he made just three substitute appearances under former boss Gary Rowett.
However, the arrival of Nathan Jones as manager on January 9 has seen a huge change and the Scot could now stay at the bet365 Stadium.
The 33-year-old, whose contract expires this summer, has played six times in the Championship since Jones took over and the former Liverpool midfielder has revealed he would jump at the chance to sign a new deal.
"Seven years is a long time and let's hope it continues because I still feel I've got a lot to add to this group and the staff, and I enjoy being here and I would like to be part of it all going forward," he was quoted as saying by the Stoke Sentinel.
"Even when I wasn't playing, the results hurt. The longer you're at a club, you get more affection. It's been a great club for me. It's given me and my family good times and we've enjoyed coming here, and hopefully it's not the end and we can move on this journey together."
Adam will be pushing for a start on Saturday when the Potters make the trip to Ewood Park to take on Blackburn Rovers.
