Potter excited by Elland Road trip

Swansea manager Graham Potter has challenged his squad to embrace the occasion when they travel to Leeds on Wednesday night.

The Swans are still hoping to make a late charge for the play-offs but must make up a six-point deficit over the final 15 games.

Their form of late suggests they could be in the mix, having lost just once in their last seven league outings, but they next go up against automatic promotion hopefuls Leeds.

Potter oversaw a 2-2 draw at home to Leeds earlier in the season but is expecting a tougher evening in West Yorkshire.

"They are formidable opponents, they are up there at the top of the league, I think they are second now," Potter told Swansea’s official website.

"They are very strong at home, Elland Road is a hostile place, it is very difficult and very aggressive.

"They have good players, who are well coached, so it is a really tough game.

"Their form is probably not as good as they would like but in those games they could have won, and that's how football goes.

"But the performances have been good. It's a great challenge for us to go there and test ourselves against a really good team."
