Baggies keen to bring in Magpies midfielder

9th January 2019, 11:53 by Bobbie Jackson

West Brom have reportedly expressed an interest in Newcastle’s Isaac Hayden but will need to battle with Aston Villa.

The 23-year-old has struggled to force his way into first-team contention on a regular basis since signing from Arsenal in 2016.

With just four Premier League starts to his name this term it appears that Hayden will be spending the second half of the campaign out on-loan.

Villa have been keeping tabs on his situation since the summer but West Brom are also understood to be keen on his services.

Hayden did express a desire to leave on-loan over the summer and he is likely to be tempted by both clubs, as they attempt to win promotion to the top-flight.
