Moore pleased to have played Barnes part

11th January 2019, 14:51 by Aidan Perkins

Darren Moore says West Brom are "proud to have played a role" in helping develop Harvey Barnes after he was recalled by Leicester.

The Foxes have decided to recall the 21-year-old after an impressive first half of the season with the Baggies in the Championship, where he scored nine times in 26 appearances.

Moore is disappointed to lose the midfielder but admits it's been a big bonus how well he has done at The Hawthorns.

"He has clearly played an important role for the team over the first half of this season," said Moore.

"He has been a pleasure to work with and a popular figure within the club. We are proud to have played a role in his development and we have nothing but good wishes for him in his future career."
