Ali raring to go for England
England spin ace Moeen Ali is now looking ahead to England's summer after rediscovering his form in the IPL.
Ali looked out of sorts over the winter and his place in the ODI side was under real threat. However, a successful stint with Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL has seen him return to form and he is now ready for what will be a massive summer of cricket for England, with the World Cup and then the Ashes series.
The 31-year-old will return from the IPL after his last game on Wednesday and join up with the rest of the England squad ahead of the series against Pakistan, which is a warm-up for the World Cup.
Ali said: "I needed to come and play the IPL after a long winter with England and after you play for a team for a long time, you start taking things for granted a little bit. "So coming here was refreshing for me to try and improve my game.
"There is a lot of time you can spend in the nets and improve your game, which is one of the best things about the IPL for foreign players. You can put in the hours yourself and I feel good going back home and getting ready for the World Cup."
