Aussie star signs Glamorgan deal
Marnus Labuschagne has joined Glamorgan for the first half of the season and is relishing the challenge of playing county cricket.
The 24-year-old has penned a deal with the Welsh outfit that sees him cover for Shaun Marsh and he will arrive on Wednesday.
The South African-born batsmen, who has played five Tests for his adopted Australia, will make his debut for the Sophia Gardens club against Northamptonshire on April 11.
Labuschagne will be available for around eight Division Two Championship matches and will also play the whole of the club's Royal London One-Day Cup 50-over campaign.
The talented youngster, who also bowls leg-spin, may well feature against England in this summer's Ashes and is looking forward to helping Glamorgan bounce back in 2019.
"I've always wanted to play county cricket and test myself in different conditions and a new environment," he said.
"I understand it was a difficult season last year for the club, but hopefully I can hit the ground running and put in some good performances to get us off to a winning start."
