Buttler heroics see Royals down Indians
Jos Buttler's rapid 89 on Saturday helped Rajasthan Royals beat Mumbai Indians by four wickets in the Indian Premier League.
The England batsman faced just 43 deliveries, clubbing seven sixes and eight fours in a scintillating knock.
Mumbai made 187-5, with South Africa batsman Quinton de Kock scoring 81 and India's Rohit Sharma hitting 47, but it was not enough.
India's Ajinkya Rahane chipped in with 37, while Sanju Samson contributed 31 as Royals got home with three balls to spare.
West Indian Alzarri Joseph bore the brunt of the Buttler onslaught, conceding 53 runs off three overs, while Australian Jason Behrendorff also went at more than 10 runs per over.
Buttler was delighted with his effort and hopes the victory helps Royals in their quest for the IPL title.
"I'm playing the best cricket I've played over a prolonged period of time," he said. "I was disappointed to get out when I did. We'll take a lot of confidence from this win."
