India set to take series lead
India reduced Australia to 258-8 in pursuit of 399 in Melbourne and are closing in on third Test glory and a 2-1 series lead.
Having dismissed the Aussies for just 151 in their first innings in reply to India’s 443-7 declared, the Asians slipped to 54-5 at stumps on day three and they added some quick runs on Saturday morning before declaring on 168-8.
