Kohli revels in landmark India success
India captain Virat Kohli has described his team's Test series victory in Australia as the biggest achievement of his career.
When the fifth day of the fourth Test in Sydney was washed out due to rain and the match was drawn, India confirmed their first-ever Test series victory Down Under.
The Baggy Greens were due to resume their second innings on Monday on 6-0 after being forced to follow on at home for the first time in three decades after being bowled out for 300 in reply to India's first-innings total of 622-7 dec.
However, conditions made play impossible and India managed to secure the series 2-1.
Having secured a famous victory, Kohli admitted it was a highlight of his career to lead the side to their maiden Test series win in Australia.
"I've never been more proud of being part of a team," said Kohli.
"By far, this is my biggest achievement. The series win will give us a different identity."
He added: "In the 10 years that I have played, it is the proudest moment that I have experienced and we're so happy for the whole team.
"It is a young bunch of guys and to have that belief to keep striving for excellence on a daily basis and to get a reward like this we definitely have to be happy."
