Mills set to miss Sussex's T20 Blast bid
Sussex have confirmed that fast bowler Tymal Mills has picked up a back injury and is set to miss the rest of their T20 Blast campaign.
The 27-year-old left-arm bowler and four-time capped England T20 international has taken seven wickets in as many appearances at an economy rate of 6.52 to help last season's finalists sit at the top of the T20 Blast Southern Group.
However, after Mills missed his side's first defeat of the campaign against Surrey at The Oval on Thursday night, Sussex have now revealed that he will be sidelined for a spell with a fresh back problem which is unrelated to his previous issues.
A club statement read: "He has been experiencing discomfort while playing and investigations have revealed the cause to be a lumbar spinal injury.
"This injury is separate to the thoracic spine condition that prompted Tymal to focus on T20 cricket earlier in his career. It will require an extended period of rest."
