Organ renewal delights Hampshire boss
Hampshire director of cricket Giles White feels batsman Felix Organ has a big role to play in the future after signing a new deal.
The 20-year-old captained Hampshire's Academy and represented the Second XI during the 2017 and 2018 campaigns.
Hampshire gave the batsman his first-team debut in September 2017 although the then had to be patient for further opportunities.
Organ tied down a regular role last term as Hampshire finished third in County Championship Division One.
White was pleased with Organ's exploits last term, having enjoyed an extended run opening the batting with Ian Holland, and believes the county have a fantastic prospect on their hands.
"Having come through the Academy, Felix had his first proper taste of first-class cricket last year and he did really well," White told Hampshire's official website.
"The way he played in the Second XI and then taking his opportunity in the first team towards the end of the season was really pleasing, and we see him as a great long-term prospect, so we're delighted that he's signed a new extension."
