Surrey confirm Elgar return
County champions Surrey have revealed they have re-signed South Africa batsman Dean Elgar as an overseas player for 2019.
After a successful 2018 season, Surrey have moved quickly to tie down the 31-year-old.
He scored 387 Championship runs as Surrey won their first title in 16 years and will return to the Oval towards the end of April, making him available for 13 of the club's 14 matches.
He has 53 Test caps, scoring an average of 40.96, and is currently captaining the Proteas in the ongoing third Test against Pakistan.
Elgar will also be available for the second half of the One-Day Cup campaign and director of cricket Alec Stewart admits it is a huge boost for everyone connected to Surrey.
He told BBC Sport: "To have a top quality player who knows our set up was important."
Tom Hill offers a strong insight into football and rugby league, whilst also having a good knowledge of several other sports including boxing, horse racing and American Football.
