Bakker departs Ajax for PSG

8th July 2019, 11:21 by Craig Smithson

Paris Saint-Germain have now completed the signing of Ajax's teenage left-back Mitchel Bakker on a four-year contract.

The 19-year-old had been lined up to join the French Ligue 1 champions in the January transfer window, but the move was abandoned because it could not be completed before the deadline.

However, Bakker, who was a regular for Jong Ajax but made made two first-team appearances for Ajax, both in the KNVB Cup, has now moved following his contract in Amsterdam expiring at the end of June.

The Netherlands Under-19 international will go straight into PSG's first-team ranks because of the club's recent decision to axe their reserve-team squad.
