De Ligt on verge of Ajax exit
Ajax expect to sell defender Matthijs De Ligt in the coming days and have left him out of their squad for their tour to Austria.
De Ligt, 19, has been linked with a host of European giants in recent weeks and it now appears as if he is on the verge of a move away from Amsterdam.
Manchester United and Barcelona had been tracking the Netherlands international but reports indicate Juventus are set to win the battle for his signature and are believed to have agreed a £71.6million deal with Ajax.
The Dutch champions expect a transfer to be agreed soon and have left De Ligt out of the squad for their pre-season trip to Austria so the deal can be concluded.
In a statement, Ajax said: "[We] left Saturday afternoon with 28 players to the training camp in Bramberg, Austria, Awaiting a possible transfer, Matthijs de Ligt does not travel with the group."
