Ferrari urged to learn from mistakes

8th November 2018, 16:56 by Nick Harris

Ferrari have been urged to learn from their mistakes in this year's championship if they want to be successful in 2019.

Mercedes could win a fifth straight Constructors Championship at the Brazilian Grand Prix this weekend and Lewis Hamilton has already wrapped up the drivers' title.

At the start of the season, Ferrari was thought to be the faster car but errors in the pits and on the track have cost them, and lead driver Sebastian Vettel says they need to cut out the mistakes.

Vettel said: "It's a big question. Obviously along the way something went wrong and we need to learn from it.

"I think something went wrong, as in we didn't go and develop something in the right direction. So we missed something, not on purpose and not because something was by default set wrong.

"So it's up to us to find what went wrong and make sure it doesn't happen again. It's as simple as that, but not so simple to find and fix it as it sounds."
