Hamilton expects Vettel response

26th July 2019, 09:18 by Alex Jack

Lewis Hamilton says he is fully expecting rival Sebastian Vettel of Ferrarito bounce back after a difficult run of results this season.

Four-time world champion Vettel has endured a tough campaign so far and currently sits down in fourth place in the Drivers' Championship ahead of the

German Grand Prix this weekend at Hockenheim.

With some claiming Vettel's best days could be long behind him, championship frontrunner Hamilton is adamant he expects the German to bounce back in the future.

"People can be easily forgetful," Hamilton said. "I just remember him as a four-time champion and a formidable competitor. You need to keep the respect there and expect him to come back strong."

He added: "I don't think anything in particular has happened with him. The team have struggled. They have had some difficult races."
