Mercedes' car still dominant - Verstappen
Lewis Hamilton's win at the Hungarian Grand Prix proves Mercedes still boast "the dominant car", according to Max Verstappen.
The 21-year-old Red Bull driver has won two of the last four races and started the weekend's race at the Hungaroring in Budapest on pole position, leading to suggestions that Mercedes' dominance is starting to become compromised in 2019.
However, after Hamilton closed down a 20 second gap to him in almost as many laps before making the overtake to take the chequered flag, Verstappen admitted there is still work to be done to halt the Silver Arrows' charge.
"I think you can see how much margin they have when they really need to push," said the Dutchman.
"Once Lewis really had to go for it you can see that that car is still the dominant car, it's as simple as that," he added.
"In Hungary he had to go flat out and then you see what they are capable of as a team."
