Winger reveals Johnson's lure
Ryan Kent says head coach Lee Johnson was one of the chief reasons he chose to join Bristol City on loan for the rest of the season.
Liverpool have loaned the winger to the Robins after cutting short his spell with Bundesliga outfit Freiburg, but City weren't the only Championship club interested in his services.
"I'm excited to be at Bristol City – they have a great manager in Lee Johnson. He’s got them playing great football and he has a great squad,” he told the City website.
"His style and philosophy – they’re probably playing some of the best football in the Championship –fits my identity as a football player. His methods really attracted me."
Kent, a former Barnsley and Coventry loanee, has played in one senior game for Liverpool, an FA Cup third-round tie at Exeter in January 2016.
Carabao Cup semi-finalists Bristol City are fourth in the Championship, two points off an automatic promotion spot.
"He did very well at Barnsley last year and he'll bring genuine speed, athleticism and ball control to our squad," Johnson told the club's website.
"We thank Liverpool for entrusting us with another top player's development and I'm looking forward to welcoming him in to the group."
