Napoli closing in on Machach

13th January 2018, 15:01 by Bobbie Jackson

Free agent Zinedine Machach is set to join Napoli on a four-year contract, according to reports in France.

The 21-year-old was sacked by former employers Toulouse in October for gross misconduct after allegedly assaulting a reserve team coach over a missed penalty.

However, his behavioural issues in France do not appear to have affected his future career chances and it’s understood that he will be a Napoli player before the week is out.

Reports in France claim that talks have been ongoing and it is now just a matter of putting pen to paper for the French-Algerian midfielder.

Machach will become Napoli’s first signing of the winter window and the report goes on to state that he is likely to be loaned out immediately to Torino for the rest of the campaign.
