DeChambeau takes one-shot Dubai lead
Bryson DeChambeau's four-under-par 69 saw him reach -16 and earn a one-shot lead ahead of the Dubai Desert Classic final round.
The American shared the halfway lead with Lucas Herbert but will be looking down on the rest of the field when play gets underway on Sunday.
Two birdies and a couple of bogeys ensured that the Ryder Cup ace went to the turn in 35 shots but he made four birdies on the back nine - including three in the final six holes - to come back in 33 and take the outright lead.
Defending champion Li Haotong is DeChambeau's nearest challenger, with the Chinese star posting a third successive 67 to sit on 15-under, while England’s Matt Wallace and veteran South African Ernie Els share third spot on -13.
Four players are grouped together on 12-under, with Herbert among them after a disappointing even-par 72, while Spain’s Alvaro Quiros and Danish ace Thorbjorn Olesen are also on that mark.
The biggest move of the day came from Andrew 'Beef' Johnston, whose seven-under-par 65 saw him join the likes of fellow Englishmen Tommy Fleetwood and Lee Westwood on -10.
